Meet the Creator: Lisa Hilmes
It all began one Superbowl Sunday in Lawrence, Kansas, 2014. While the Broncos battled toward their own defeat, Lisa Hilmes sat in the corner and painted her very first Kitty Sweatshirt: Galaxy Cat.
While Galaxy Cat was the first of many original painted Kitty Sweatshirts, by no means was it Lisa's first cat sweatshirt. The years 1995-97 in particular were excellent years for wearing cat sweatshirts, jumpers, even full sweatsuit outfits.
When she's not painting Kitty Sweatshirts,
Lisa can be found at her day job, where she is a User Interface and User Experience Designer at a software development shop in Boulder, CO. She considers herself more of a dog person.
